How Recipients Are Chosen
Every application is reviewed by a selection committee dedicated to honoring the true spirit of Violet's legacy. We look for more than grades.
We evaluate:
- Demonstrated Financial Need — Priority is given to students for whom financial barriers have been or could be a significant obstacle to educational access.
- Commitment to Education and Lifelong Learning — We look for students who approach learning as a lifelong calling, not just a credential.
- Community Involvement — Applicants who have served their communities, advocated for others, or worked to uplift those around them reflect the heart of this scholarship.
- Quality of Personal Statement and Letters of Recommendation — We want to know you. Your words and the words of those who've witnessed your journey carry real weight in our selection process.
Scholarship amounts are determined annually based on available funding. Recipients will be notified directly.
